About

An employee-owned builder that still self-performs the work that matters most.

A builder’s company, still run by builders

A builder’s company, still run by builders

STRATA started in 1989 as a three-person concrete crew in Portland. We still self-perform the structure on most of our projects, because owning the critical path is how we keep our promises.

Today we are 620 people across four offices in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. We deliver commercial, industrial, public and residential projects from $5M to $150M.

We are employee-owned, and every project is led by a director who has spent years on site. That is why clients come back: 70% of our work is repeat business.

What we stand for

Three rules on every site

Safety first, every shift

Every worker has stop-work authority, and we back them every time they use it.

Own the outcome

One project director is accountable for cost, schedule, quality and safety.

Build it right once

Prototypes, mock-ups and inspections catch problems before they repeat.

Leadership

The people accountable for every project
